Training & Career Development
Simcoe Muskoka Family Connexions is committed to its workforce and the career development of those who work for the organization.
There is extensive standardized worker training available at SMFC and through the oversight body, the Ontario Association of Children’s Aid Societies (OACAS) via web based learning and through active learning.
Mentorship and leadership development are important features at SMFC, encouraging the staff to explore and cultivate their potential in the field of child welfare. A comprehensive calendar of training and development events is continuously updated with the latest research and practice in the field. There is financial support available for employees to attend training sessions or complete degree requirements and educational leaves of absence can be arranged.
