Celebrating A Permanent Warehouse (And a Need for Furnishings!)
We are excited to share a significant milestone in our journey—our agency has secured a permanent space for holding donations all-year long! This achievement signifies stability, a profound impact on our day-to-day operations and, most importantly, greater and more reliable support for the children, youth, and families we serve.
Historically, we have faced the annual challenge of securing temporary space to run our Holiday Program, coming with it the cumbersome process of moving donations out of and back into storage each year for the program’s duration of just a couple months. This new permanent space represents a transformative shift, eliminating the need for a recurring search and move each holiday season, and streamlining operations to focus more effectively on serving children, youth, and families in need in the community.
While the permanence of this space is cause for celebration, we do have an urgent need for furnishings to fully optimize this facility and organize our donations. Industrial shelving, long (6 to 8 foot) folding tables, hanging bike racks, and organizational supplies are now on our wish list. These items are essential tools that will empower us to handle donations effectively and enhance our ability to positively impact the community not just during our Holiday Program, but all year round.
