The Job

Reporting to a Senior Service Leader, the incumbent will be responsible for managing the service programs and staff.  Responsibilities will include: providing case management consultation and direction to case workers consistent with Agency and government policy and standards, carrying out human resource responsibilities (e.g. hiring, training, evaluating, coaching, performance counselling), project and service plan development and implementation, budget management responsibilities, community liaison activities, participating as a member of the agency’s management team in other agency initiatives as may be assigned and other duties as assigned by the Senior Service Lead.  This is a non-unionized position.

Volunteer Board Member

Simcoe Muskoka Family Connexions (SMFC) is an integrated child and family services committed to working collaboratively with our community to enhance the safety and wellbeing of children, youth and families. We are currently seeking dynamic, dedicated volunteers to help govern our organization.

Board members are concerned community members who are:

  • Supportive of the Agency’s Vision, Purpose and Values
  • Team oriented with good decision-making skills
  • Able to attend and participate in 10 Board meetings each year as well as committee meetings
  • Age 18 or over and live or work in Simcoe County or the District of Muskoka

The Nominating Committee will consider a wide variety of skills, experience, capacity and attitude to fulfill expectations of this important role. While we encourage all interested persons to apply, as a skills-based board, we are currently interested in community members who have experience in the following areas:

  • Finance/Financial Services
  • French Language Services
  • Diversity Issues
