The Job

The incumbents will report to the Family Support Team Service Manager.  Primary duties include: providing supervision and support to parents/kin during contact with their children; report any safety concerns or disclosures; remind parents of their outcome plans; observe, document and report; provide regular updates to Child Protection, Child in Care and Family Support Workers; attend Court as required; participate in Conferences/Circles; and any other duties as assigned by the Service Manager.  Case assignments could be during the weekday, evenings and on weekends and take place in office, in client’s homes or other community locations.   We are looking to fill bilingual positions in Barrie as well as some English-speaking Family Contact Workers for our other branch offices.  These are Bargaining Unit position with CUPE local 5319.
