The Job

This is a permanent position. The incumbent will report to the Manager of the Family Support Team and work from the Barrie office. Primary duties include: arrange and schedule drives requested by staff as per the Drive Program guidelines/requirements and agency guidelines; review drive requests for accuracy and completeness of information; enter all incoming drive requests, changes and cancellations into the system; communicate with and respond to inquiries from volunteer drivers, foster parents, workers, managers and Volunteer Coordinator; assist/support Volunteer Coordinator in training initiatives when recruiting new drivers; review and report on any irregularities in the drive requests and provide feedback on and report driving expenses and mileage discrepancies from drivers to the Volunteer Coordinator and generate  reports in Excel, when required to ensure accuracy; This is a CUPE Bargaining Unit position under local 5319.

The Job

The incumbent will report to the Service Manager in the branch office and will have child protection responsibilities. Primary duties include: investigating and assessing matters pertaining to children in need of protection; providing support services to clients; providing services to children in care; documentation responsibilities in accordance with the legislation and agency procedures; providing community outreach; and other duties as assigned by the Service Manager.  This is a Bargaining Unit position with CUPE Local 5319.
