Crisis Clinician Worker 0.80 FTE contract (0718)

The Job

Reporting to the Child & Youth Mental Health Community Based Programs Manager in the Bracebridge office, the Crisis Clinician will provide risk assessment, crisis intervention, safety planning, make connections of child, youth and/or families to appropriate support services in the community, and complete crisis intervention documentation.  The primary purpose of this position is to provide therapeutic crisis intervention, during the day and evening, in order to: Stabilize and de-escalate immediate risk; Decrease presenting severity of symptoms; Help the child/youth and family to cope in immediate and urgent crisis situations, including enhancing awareness and understanding of the presenting problem; Transition the client to appropriate treatment(s) Link the individual to other services (e.g., addiction services or hospital services).  This is a bargaining unit position with CUPE Local 5319.
